Born to a political economist, activist, philosopher and writer, I spent most of my childhood years in Europe until I moved to the East Coast with my parents. New Jersey came as a culture shock and I found myself drawn to the metropolis of New York where I became an active participant in the graffiti art scene, tagging subway trains in the Bronx train graveyard. I joined a modern dance troupe, performed off-Broadway and developed strong choreography skills. After receiving a degree in illustration from Pratt Institute, I began a career in graphic design and art direction designing successful ad campaigns alongside renowned photographers. Upon moving to Los Angeles in 2002, I wrote and directed a short 35mm film Parallel Passage. The film was nominated Best Short at the 29th Deauville Festival of American Cinema by a jury presided by Roman Polanski and was honored with a Silver Remi Award for Best Original Dramatic Short at the 2004 Worldfest Houston. It went on to travel the international film festival circuit screening at the Hamptons, São Paulo, Cinequest, San Diego, and Huesca International Film Festivals, among others. Parallel Passage premiered on TV, the Independent Film Channel (IFC), in August of 2006. I will be shooting my first feature in Winter of 2008.
