Tennis is great, but I haven't played for a couple of years now since leaving ad school. I should fix my racket. But I do like going to gigs. Fortunately you don't need a tennis racket for that! Consequently, I've seen all the bands. And I've literally travelled to Timbuktu and back (in Mali), Senegal, Ecuador, the Galapagos, Jamaica, Morocco, the USA, Colombia and Europe. If you're from the USA, Europe is a continent, not a country. I also support Shrewsbury Town football club, but don't worry about it. Shrewsbury play at the Gay Meadow. I really hate Manchester United, they're much gayer than Shrewsbury Town. I’ve also got a small black cat called Carpet. Even though Carpet lives in Shrewsbury I know she loves me even more than milk because last time she saw me she left her saucer of milk for me. I like to play with Carpet in the back garden, but we have to be careful because that’s where the bodies are buried. I’m a vegetarian.

It's mainly Indie and off beat 60s. The Fiery Furnaces are the best! One day all music will sound like the Fiery Furnaces' Blueberryboat album. I like the Webb Brothers and their dad too, Jim Webb. You may not know him, but in the 1960s he wrote 35% of all the music. Other heroes are Os Mutantes, T Rex, Kinks, Sparks, Todd Rundgren, Richard Thompson, Brian Wilson, PJ Harvey, Jonathan Richman, Roxy Music and Matthew Sweet. My favourite album is Odessey and Oracle by the Zombies, I think. More modern stuff I like is Franz Ferdinand, Simple Kid, Dresden Dolls, Ash, Libertines/Babyshambles/Dirty Pretty Things, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mellow, Mew, Super Furries. Carpet's favourite CD is 13 by Blur and the Bee Gees Jive Talkin. Sometimes their voices soar so majestically high I think only animals with their heightened aural perception can truly appreciate the Bee Gees. I agree with Carpet that Blur are the best band from the 90s.
My favourite movie? Buffalo 66 or Magnolia. Difficult choice. Well actually it isn't because Buffalo 66 is wonderful and Magnolia is wallowing, self important rubbish. I also love The Wicker Man, Get Carter and Dogville, the best movie about America ever. Well, Manderlay was equally good.
