About Me

Broadcasting on 107.1FM to a 15 mile radius, and online around the globe at www.glastonburyfm.com, Glastonbury FM (G-FM) has become known for its mix of irreverent chat, scathing comment and shining wit coupled with THE most awesome music playlist. In March 2007, after 4 years of temporary broadcasts, GFM was awarded a 5-year Community Radio broadcasting licence. Launching as a fulltime service in June 2008, GFM will be different to existing services available in the region. GFM has previously sourced its entire output locally and intends to continue to build the diversity and range of output, bringing more and more local people to the airwaves.Once launched, GFM will provide an exciting opportunity for local people to develop new skills. Not just presenting, editing and programming, but a whole range of skills including IT, Financial Manangement and Marketing. Volunteers will be provided with an induction and training programme supported by the station. GFM actively encourages people from all areas of the community to get involved.
