I came to Glastonbury in 1987, after living in New York City and working for an animation company. Initially, I came to England on holiday, but when I got to Glastonbury, I knew that this was the place I wanted to call my home. So after I went back and gave notice to my job (which was run by a couple of old hippies who thought it was great that I wanted to drop out and follow my dream), I came to live here full time on August 19th 1987, a couple of days after the Harmonic Convergence, which was a big deal at the time. I started working in the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms in the cafe and soon hooked up with a great group of people, some of whom have been very important in my life. I became one of the founder members of Gothic Relief Theatre Macabre, a theatre company that performed authentic 19th C gothic horror scripts. I also joined the Glastonbury Town Players purveyours of the finest anarchic pantomime in the coutry. I began directing and performing in these show in 1991, and we continue to produce the finest alternative pantomimic spectacle in the UK, nay the WORLD, today. In 1990 I gave birth to my darling daughter Fey Belinda Gilbert, one ot the reasons i haven't thrown the towel in on the whole sorry business we call the 21st Century. 1995 saw me take the mic in bands like the Whole Soul Collection, Ripple Effect, The Indivisible Co-Opera Net and Loafers . I now can be seen singing around the country with my good friend Charlie Miller as one of his Soul Agents, as well as the planet’s premier funk outfit, THiNK, and also in The Space Pirates, featuring my buddy Will Greenwood and other space rock denizens of note. 2005 saw me return to the world of film production when Mickey Richardson and I wrote ‘PigBoy’ our first black comedy horror feature film. In 2006 we produced our first short film, ‘Bad Dennis- Cider Season’, which is viewable on MySpace. We have just finished the first draft of the second film in the series, ‘Bad Dennis- Cider Party’. I am now Operations Manager for the Glastonbury Assembly Rooms, and if you come on down you’ll probably see me hanging around........Myspace Backgrounds
