I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

BROTHERS AND SISTERS-IN-ARMS....Do you have 14 seconds to do something that will last a lifetime? If you do, read on. If not -- hit up another space. I'm here to do one thing. Connect like minded spirits with angels . . . a/k/a the Children of Uganda. The time it took you to read to this point -- another child lost a parent to AIDS. 15 million and counting to give you a perspective!WHO AM I AND WHY SHOULD YOU CARE? I am a lifelong AIDS activist, fundraiser, event planner, documentary film-maker, Children of Uganda groupie, and pebble in as many shoes as I can find -- nudging people -- one person at a time -- to reach in to their hearts, in to their pockets to invest in the future success of these children.I believe in the power of the internet. I believe in the power of concerned citizens. MY SPACE brings those two elements together.Do you want to make a difference? You have the power in your hands RIGHT NOW TO CHANGE A LIFE FOREVER. This is not about hype -- this is about HOPE! This is simply about reaching out to children a world away and keeping the promise.

If so, then read on!Are you willing to send Children of Uganda $1 and to tell a friend so that they will tell a friend and so on and so on. It only takes a single match to light the darkness. My goal is to reach 1 million people. The support we receive will go directly to support our programs in Uganda that ensure our children will have food, love and hope. The young people we serve have kept their promise to us by staying in school, studying hard and preparing for their future. Please help us keep our promise to them. And before you bounce . . . please check out the Children of Uganda homepage so that you can see for yourself all the wonderful work that's being done. The website is www.childrenofuganda.org. My hope is that you will feel that pebble in your shoe and feel inspired to make a difference in the lives of these extraordinary young people.

My Interests

Our award-winning dance troupe and their spirited performances are filled with joy, energy and inspiration. They hand-deliver a very special message each time they step on a stage. The message is one of hope . . . one of children helping children . . . and one of sharing and perserving their unique African culture through song, drum and dance. The children are dedicated to helping ensure they and others like them achieve a brighter future. Those efforts are supported by Children of Uganda. an American-based nonprofit. The money raised by this organization and the bi-annual tours helps to educate, feed, clothe and provide medical care for more than 750 children in Uganda. We travel the United States every two years raising money and awareness. They have appeared in hundreds of performances through-out the States for over 10 years. These are a few of their Special Performances: Grammy Awards Tribute to Bono 2003; The David Letterman Show 2000; MTV/Nickelodeon Headquarters 2003; Macy*s AIDS Benefit honoring Elizabeth Taylor 2000; The White House for former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton 2000; Nike Headquarters 2004, Chris Tucker's Diary 2002. . . to name a few.Subscribe to our e-newsletter!

"Accountability requires every President and Prime Minister, every parliamentarian and politician, to decide and declare that “AIDS stops with me” . . . It requires them to strengthen protection for all vulnerable groups ... But accountability applies not only to those who hold positions of power. It also applies to all of us... And it requires every one of us help bring AIDS out of the shadows, and spread the message that silence is death."UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan
