About Me

Fun loving, passionate, unpretentious. I'm a people person who doesn't mind solitude. I like to travel (especially Europe). I've lived in Los Angeles and Austin, and I've been in Manhattan for 12 years. I'm originally from Texas but I don't have a Southern accent and I certainly didn't vote for either Bush. I love absurdity and dark humor. Halloween is my favorite holiday. Meeting and getting to know new people is important. Don't be intimidated by my long lists of music and film favorites. While it's true that I'm obsessed by my passions, I'm never a snob about it. I'm more about sharing the knowledge and turning people on to new things. While it's true I'm a gentleman, I realize that different situations call for different approaches ...

My Interests

Warhol's Factory, The Golden Age of Hollywood, '80s New Wave and Post Punk, travel, biographies, writing, vintage pin-up girls, pulp art, Film Noir, keeping fit, activities in Central Park, Tex-Mex food, strawberry shortcake, cult film, foreign film, shifting governmental power away from religious zealots. Human intimacy in all its myriad forms. Developing my male id while staying in touch with the inner child.

I'd like to meet:

Passionate individuals who try to cram as much into life as possible. Avid fans of music and film are welcomed with open arms. Sense of humor. Shouldn't listen to Kelly Clarkson or Clay Aiken. Diehard Republicans and devout christians bring me down. Treats others as they would like to be treated. Kooky is fine as long as you know when to take it down a notch.
