If you haven't heard Angie Moon singing sweet nothing, you probably aren't one of the many clients she cares for at her Gainesville beauty salon. I want to be the next big thing." says the Florida native whose CD, I'll Be O.K., features 11 songs-all of which were written by Moon, herself. It's a rare talent for someone whose sound falls smack dab in the middle of mainstream pop/R&B.Writing music, for me, just comes naturally," she says, counting contemporaries R. Kelly, Mary J. Blige, and Beyonce' as her favorites. Her own inspiration hits a little closer to home."A lot of people come in [my salon] asking my opinion on stuff," says Moon , who hates giving relationship advice. "So I tell them, I'll write a song to let [you] know how it would feel if it happened to me.... You listen to the song and you take it how you want to take it."Apparently, they're taking it well. She has already sold over 2,000 CDs out-of-the-trunk style, with minimal suport. Her next target:radio."I really want to work with Lil Jon," she declares, "I've got something for him."
