"The Hottest Muthaf**kin Mix DJ in the F**kin World!" is the description legendary Southern Hip Hop icon Luther Uncle Luke Campbell, formerly of 2 Live Crew, uses to describe 22 year-old DJ SMALLZ. Encompassing a blend of supreme turntable skills and marketing finesse, it’s no surprise why DJ Smallz has quickly risen to become one of the nations premier DJs and what has led him to the type of success that has eluded many in his field.
Best known for his SOUTHERN SMOKE street brand, DJ Smallz has played a monumental role in catapulting major and independent Southern artists to the attention of national and international markets. The Southern Smoke brand has been co-signed by some of the biggest names in the music industry, and to date, DJ Smallz has collaborated with such established figures as Grammy Award-winner Big Boi of Outkast, southern hip hop pioneers UGK, Master P and Three 6 Mafia, as well as multi-platinum superstars Lil’ Jon, Ludacris and T.I.
With the enormous success of his Southern Smoke brand, DJ Smallz turned his talents to the national radio scene. Every Thursday night, SOUTHERN SMOKE RADIO dominates the airwaves and broadcasts live to more than 3 million subscribers on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 40 “Hip Hop Nation”) and DISH Network (Channel 6040).
With so many accomplishments, of course has come a bevy of media and industry accolades. DJ Smallz has appeared on several music television shows including MTV’s “Direct Effect” and was named one of the “Top 7 Hip Hop DJs of 2006” in the USA Today.
