THE BASICS: THE DIFF@CULT. was Co-founded in 2006 by SURR3AL1S and D1V1NE as a platform for free and progressive thought and sound experimentation. A very serious concentration is put upon thought provoking material with a sharp sonic edge. Using the umbrella of THE DIFF@CULT., the crew of emcees and producers sought out to expand the scope of what is considered Hip Hop and intelligent thought process. All members are seasoned veterans of groups spanning genres and subgenres like Hip Hop, PostRock, Trip Hop, Electrorock, Electronica, Classical, Choral, Ghettotech, IDM, Shoegaze, and avant noise core genres. NOT SO EASY TO KILL was the first project underway, but is not necessarily typical in the genre hopping projects that are slated for completion. Don't get too comfortable, even within one song, because changes are around the corner. The main tenet of the THE DIFF@CULT. is TRANSFORMATION. Attempting to fill the gaps in the global sonic marketplace, DIFF@CULT. Recordings was created in late 2007. Offerings include original material from core members, affiliates, and guest band members in different arrangments; as well as alternate mixes and remixes by THE DECOMPOSERS GUILD.
