About Me

Nearly 3 years ago I left this little island of ours to see the world. While away, amongst other things, I learnt to play the guitar and sing properly! I also picked up a ukulele which is the best travelling instrument ever. I have now been playing solo for nearly a year and have developed my own live sound based around live vocal loops and finger picked acoustic guitar. Recently, I have also incorporated looped euphonium and music box into my sound as well as the odd bit of banjo.
Since being back in the UK I have recorded the EP 'Men Dressed As Titans' which features the song 'Melpomene, Her Tradgedy'. You can see some reviews by looking at my blog. Hopefully, some more new recordings will be completed soon. Check the blog for details.

I have also been lucky enough to get some radio airplay on BBC Radio Bristol ( Bristol Uncovered ), BCFM ( radiomishmash , wordofmouth ) and Folk Radio UK . Check out all of these shows as they are all excellent for local unsigned music. I have also been played in Europe and Toronto on Rear Window Radio.

You can hear a recent BBC interview on Bristol Fine Tuned

'A butterfly circles overhead as vaguely ecclesiastical choral looping opens the wonderfully hirsute Delaplane's set of comfortingly morbid narratives made splendid with euphonium, guitar and glockenspiel' - Venue Magazine review of Ashton Court gig

The song 'Luciana' can be heard as part of a bristolbands.com podcast at BristolBands.com

New Version Of Melpomene

For far too long the Melpomene recorded version hasn't had the ending that I do live. At last I have made amends. The ending is now there in all its loopy glory for all to hear. I hope you enjoy.
