About Me
Hi, I'm Dave Remix.
I've been DJing for 15 odd years and during that time I've played many different style of music including: Indie, Alternative, Rock, Metal, Punk, DnB, Jungle, Hip Hop, Breaks and Big Beat
Anyone that knows me knows that I'm into all sorts of music. My outlook on music is that... "There are only 2 types of music: Good and Bad".
Good music comes in many forms and is not genre specific.
I'm fortunate enough to love what I do and get to DJ to over 4500 people each week in a variety of cities around the South West and Wales, in some of the biggest alternative club nights in the country.
My regular DJ residencies include:
Ramshackle / Generation X in Bristol (which I co-promote and DJ in both rooms of the club).
Ramshackle Birmigham
Fun Factory in Cardiff.
Propaganda Cheltenham/Bristol/Exeter.
I have also DJed the Main Stage of the Ashton Court Festival (2004-2006), playing to over 50,000 people each year. And in 2007 I DJed the Carling VIP area of The Reading Festival
Other the years I have DJed alongside and for the likes of:
Mark Ronson, Zane Lowe (Radio 1), Mike Davis (Radio 1), Eddy Temple-Morris (Xfm), Marsha (Xfm), Pendulum, The Scratch Perverts, Fingerthing, Hard-Fi, DJ Wrongtom, Snow Patrol, Del La Soul, The Dead 60s, Charlotte (Subways), Bloc Party, The Fratellis, The Holloways, Electric 6, Repulica, Zutons, Reef, Therapy? Zane Lowe (Radio 1) declared my 'Snap Yourself' mash up of Eminem and Roni Size as his "Track of the tour" at the closing party of his 2005 Home Taping Tour.
On my recent visit to New York, where I was fortunate enough to get the chance to DJ at the world famous Bootie club, I was informed by Adrian & Mysterious D (AKA A+D) that my 'Whoomp, There's The Song 2' mash up of Blur and The Tag Team was one of the anthems of their club night :)
Asides from the DJing, Producing and making music I am part of the graphic design team of:
