After long professional career in telecommunications Misha decided to do it better and become a full time musician...
"I started as Technician in the military radio-relay station at Soviet Red Army in 1984, proceeded as Chief Technician in 1985 and rounded the whole thing up as Business Development Manager in 2006 in Denmark".
Now as a full time musician, composer, singer-songwriter Misha is presenting two brand new albums and ready to enter "In the Public Domain", following the title of his own song.
In his musical career Misha moved through depths of rock, jazz, world and classical music, with Prince, Led Zeppelin and Chet Baker among his inspirations. Now Misha introduces his own deeply personal modern rock cross-over with elements of jazz, funk, latin and reggae.
Misha's style is to cross the stylistic borderlines, always in search for the new expressions. He has now melded all the experiences together into his own world, drawing the listener with the distinctive melodies, groovy rhythms and percussive and funky vocal lines.
Misha's compositions possess a unique combination of unpolished and challenging sound with catchy and beautiful melodies and humorously insightful lyrics.
Both on CD and on stage Misha provides an emotional and stimulating drive. His advanced guitar technique combining funky bass lines with jazzy chord voicings and his vocal style combining energetic jazz-rap and guitar-unison scatting à la George Benson make his perfomance very personal and original.
"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities. "

THE LIST WITH MY FORMER PROJECTS AND BAND MEMBERS
Influences:

One of my favourite composers, Ernest Bloch, said: "Does any man think he is only himself? Far from it. He is thousands of his ancestors. If he writes as he feels, no matter how exceptional his point of view, his expression will be basically of his forefathers."

Well, I don't know, he may be at least partly right. Cause we have lots of impessions around us in our odd and beautiful world...

Here are they, my musical ancestors and influences, mingling and smalltalking with each other, in serried ranks in order of influence:

Singers: Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzdgerald, Charles Aznavour, Chet Baker, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Carmen McRae.

Singers/ songwriters: Robert Plant, Stevie Wonder, David Coverdale, Bob Marley, Sting, Prince, Wyclef Jean, Tom Waits, Finley Quaye, Keziah Jones, Paul Simon, Lauryn Hill, India Arie, Mystical.

Bass players: Red Mitchell, Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon), Michael Friis, Slam Stewart, Larry Graham, Francois Rabbath, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten.

Guitar players: Larry Corryell, George Benson, Joe Pass, Carlos Santana, Wes Montgomery, John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Scofield, Philip Catherine.

Jazzers: J.S. Bach, Lennie Tristano, klezmer music, Dmitry Schostakovitch, Machito, Ben Webster, Charlie Parker, Peer Goldschmidt, Michal Urbaniak, Lee Konitz, Ernest Bloch, Jean Luc Ponty, Warne Marsh, Keith Jarrett.

Rockers: Uriah Heep, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Queen, Jack Bruce, Chicago.

If you don't think I succeed in managing the influence from all those powerful people in a "right" (read: powerful and personal) way - please tell me what you have in mind, inspire me to do it better! Any constructive comments and hints on my songs would be much appreciated, particularly in terms of songwriting...

Well... friendly money transfers to my PenPal account will likewise inspire me in this special subtle way only money can do... and perhaps do a better job...
Anyway, THANKS for the visit! :))
