Høgni Lisberg (24) started his singer/songwriter career in 2003 when releasing his first solo album "Most Beautiful Things". The album received excellent reviews from all around Europe and the Nordic countries and got Høgni on tour, leading to Switzerland where the press gave Høgni national attention.Høgni released his second solo album, Morning Dew, on the Faroe Islands. This album was an instant smash which made Høgni a star overnight. The album spawned to no. 1 hits on the Faroes and won the “album of the year†award at the Faroese “Planet Awardsâ€, just one month after its release. Morning Dew also got a lot of airplay around Europe as well as the Nordic. In 2006, Morning Dew was released in the Benelux, Denmark and Iceland. It was released in Switzerland in January 2007 with more to follow.Høgni Lisberg is a very intense live performer. Whether it is solo with an acoustic guitar or backed with a band, his shows are intense and powerful experiences every time. Høgni played the major Faroese festivals during the summer including a superb performance at the G! Festival. Høgni also played the renowned Iceland Airwaves Festival in Iceland and made a lot of live broadcasted performances on TV and Radio. Høgni opened for Badly Drawn Boy and Paolo Nutini in Copenhagen and will be opening for other acts as well in Denmark.Høgni will be touring the Nordic and Europe in 2007.
