G! Festival

Magical Musical Wonderland - 19-22 July 2007

About Me

Nestled in the heart of the North Atlantic, the Faroes lies midway between Iceland, Norway and Scotland. Untouched, unsullied and spellbinding.
Surrounded by the picturesque seaside village of Gøta and the soaring emeraldgreen mountains beyond, G! Festival has a fantastic setting right on the beach. It’s the perfect playground for those who really love music!
The 2005 and 2006 G! Festivals sold out all 6,000 tickets. Somewhere between 2,000 and 4,000 people watched from the hills outside the festival area or from their boats moored in the bay just a little way from the main stage. In total, that's nearly one-fifth of the entire population of the Faroes!
G! Festival has changed the whole musical landscape of the Faroes and earned the position as the most important and influential musical event in the islands by far.
We are passionate about music and deeply committed to making people happy. That is why we put our mind and soul into creating a positive atmosphere of fellowship and true open-heartedness.
