Dave Phelps is a guitarist who once you hear him you wonder why hasnt everyone else.A mcLaughlin vibe and the same purity of spirit..as john, no affect,no posing,no stalling, just all soul, just all effect. It has a pleasure and honor to have worked with this line up. as eric dolphy said a note is played and its gone,but when played right it stays within you forever. thats how these notes live with me swami...a writer found these musicians serendipidously through eric udell.He couldnt stay on the couch and fade after leaving nyc,after the bomb in 93.Disobediance is evolution.the bio of this band is deep having members who played and stood equal to some of the most musical and profound and famous musicians of a few generations bands that members have played with include Meters ,mike stern,Albert KIng John Coltraine ElsvIn Jones Band ,Blues Brothers Nuff Brother,MattMurphy Band String Cheese Incident Mike Clark Tri Mingus Big Band Bo diddley Jr, TwHenderson's Govt Cheese Band,EddyHarris,Les McCann,Kenny Garret,Jon Davis,Joe Beck,BillEvans,Baron Raymonde,Albert Collins,et al,JimmY Smithwe are roots but robert johnSon would be doing beats and electricty changed it all i am proud to be a fusionist rather than a purists MIKE Clark is the MOST sampled druymmer on the planet.Just what it is. i hope when our music io..s played by others they wont be purist..jim gardamhttp://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.v iewprofile&friendID=45876868
