About Me

The place is Bergen and the sun is shining. The indiepopkids, hippies, rockers, shockers, rockabillys, law students, dog walkers, Latinos, beach jocks, Asians and transvestites of Bergen go to the park that lies between the ocean and the Aquarium. It's pretty hot this day; even the penguins cool down with a cold bruskie. Nobody remembers how rain feels like, even though this day is day 171 of the year 2004, and it's the first day without rain. In the middle of this park sits four friends with a small barbecue and a cold bucket filled with beer. Next to them sits a small group of hippies and five guys that only drink water. One of the hippies plays Bob Marley songs on his guitar, while the others sings "roll roll roll a joint, twist it at the ends, light it up, take a puff, pass it to your friends", and that's exactly what they do. After the second joint, one of the beach jocks comes up to the hippies. His hair is wet, and his Speedos must be filled with potatoes. He sits down with them and asks if he can buy some strong tobacco. Of course he can. On this day we are all brothers. He gets his shit and walks back towards the ocean. Two seconds later, the five guys who drank water also walks up to the hippies telling them that they are undercover cops. Bad luck, I guess. The hippies get arrested and on the green grass sit four friends with their barbecue and beer looking at the scene. The hippies don't get to take the guitar with them. One of the friends picks up the guitar and plays a song he just made. It sounds good and they make a pact on forming a band that can make music they all can stand for. Two years later, in September 2006, the band Mica Peak works with their upcoming album. Stay tuned for more tunes, and be careful in the park!
