Lack of Respect writes classic punk rock earworms that crawl into your head and lay eggs. After a Lack of Respect show youll be stuck humming a tune full of profanity. The subject matter is these tunes is purely classic as well: women, drinking, drugs, fights, robots... the usual stuff. Lack of Respect has been lucky enough to unite with other likeminded local bands in pursuit of a common goal: To get really drunk and yell -- at you.
Lack of Respect was formed in 2004 to bring catchy, fun, loud and obnoxious rock back to Seattle. After enough beer and boring pedal-core shows, it sounded like a good idea at the time.
After appearing on Punks and Pints II (a complilation disk for the Central Saloon), in early 2006 the band released their self-recorded, produced and financed debut album Roman Hands and Russian Fingers and shortly thereafter went on a rambling 2 week West Coast tour. They made many friends and kicked much ass along the 5000 mile jaunt, with highlights such as opening for NOFX at a sold out Whisky a Go-Go show. See the tour Blog for details!
The dual vocalistic assault of Ray Flynn (bass) and Jean Greagor (guitar) are now backed by the pounding, thunderous drum attack of Dave Kelley.
Lack of Respect plays Seattle, Spokane, Bellingham, Portland and elsewhere in the Northwest. Plans for a new record and another national tour are underway. That means a watering hole near YOU!
