The Contra

Hindsight is 20/20, fucktards...

About Me

.. For over three years now the Contra has been playing hard and fast punk rock to the masses. Surviving all the trends to hit the scene and keeping their integrity, the Contra has endured and not compromised their sound one minutia. With hard and aggressive yet subtly complex songs driving their thoughtful and relevant lyrics, The Contra is able to say what they want, and play it with the energy they have become known for.Their live shows are always well received as both local and national fans will confirm. They have two national tours under their belts with several more planned. They make all of their merch themselves and truly personify the diy punk band. Both highly educated and motivated, the contra boasts two physics students, a grad student in political science and an self employed entrepreneur. With lyrics that attempt to educate and not assimilate, the contra writes a objectively as possible about world events. They believe that everyone has the right to make up their own mind and should explore many more avenues than just the lyrics of a punk band. La Contra Para Siempre.
