About Me

The vocalist, Lance, first started Slugger City in 1991 and the band was short lived for 2 months.
The lead singer then took on a job as guitarist for former Louisville punk band "The Invalids" or "Dementia", which lasted at a street level until 1996, when excess and anarchy destroyed the band.
For the next 4 years the lead singer would continue the struggle to form another band with no success. It seemed the streets were taken over by ravers, trendies and fashion punks, who had no respect for the punk rock scene and know little or nothing about it.
In 2000 he tracked down a young neighborhood kid who he had met when he moved out of town in '96. At first unsure of the kid, who didn't know anything about any music besides Fugazi, the lead singer took it upon himself to look him up after all those years, after all he had a drum set back then. Mitch then became the drummer for Slugger City.
The next member to come would be Mike, another beer-drinking Irishman. Although he didn't know it at the time, he had known Mike's brother for several years and heard him mentioned many times. But he didn't track Mike down through family members, he found him the hard way. He went to every place in town where a punk musician might be advertising, and there they were. Flyers everywhere he looked that read bass player influenced by early punk. He took them ALL. He immediately called the number, after all he was the only one who actually saw the flyers. When he answered, the first thing Mike said was "Did you take all my flyers?" He lied, and that was the birth of Slugger City as you know it, the fans know it and as the CD reads.
Mike began co-writing on a few tracks on the CD, and the band would also like to give thanks to other people who appeared on the CD, such as Tim aka "Mouse Fitz", and Jeremy King of "Dead City Rejects".
After a 5 year hiatus, in which time Mike survived a hurricane in New Orleans, Lance became a parent, and Mitch, well, he's just Mitch, the band is attempting to kick it once again with a new album full of all new material.
Lance found a new line up and is hoping to start recording soon.
On the behalf of Slugger City, we would like to thank the bands, venues and especially the fans, including the young girls in fishnets and boots. MyGen Profile Generator

Sounds Like: The rockabilly train picked up too much speed, or perhaps, a young virgin when she's first penetrated, with a hint of a redneck beating his wife and children for kicks. If you saw the world through this band's eyes, you'd buy a safety helmet.

However, if you enjoy pop music and the Depeche Mode and see the world through their eyes, enjoy the site of pubies, then breathe easy and only through the nose. You c*cksuckers, enjoy the taste of these big ones.
