"The Last Summer" - The Movie!

About Me

High school is over, and before you know it, college is about to start up. For some, it's only going to be a short drive out of the way. For others, it's a lifetime away from your best friends.
Shawn, Matt, Seth, and Colin are about to spend their last Summer together before they all go off to college. Between Shawn's relationship problems, Matt's tendency to never settle down, Seth's headaches with getting the girl, and Colin's inability to grow up, their last Summer together is going to be full of challenges, heartaches, victories, and the overall knowlege that growing up is life's biggest challenge.

"The Last Summer is an idea I got after watching at least 10 teen movies in a week," says director Jason Saint. "I love the stereotypical teen movie, and I love the feeling you get in your heart after watching certain flicks."
Namely, movies like Can't Hardly Wait, The Girl Next Door, American Pie, and of course, The Breakfast Club, are movies that come to mind when I think of good teen movies. I want to capture the essence of growing up, knowing your young years are fading, but at the same time, still enjoying your youth."
Casted already are filmmaker Jason Saint as Shawn, your average high school graduate who's dating the girl he can't seem to fully commit to. Jason Saint was also one of the main characters and directors in Welcome Back. Also from Welcome Back is fellow filmmaker Brandon Ingram, who is playing Seth, an awkward teenager who can't seem to settle down and seal the deal with the girl he's swooning over.
Making his Prophalactic Production debut is Derek Sturgeon, who plays Matt, your average sex-driven teenage male who's only concern is his next "victim". Making his second Prophalactic Production appearance is Aaron Madison, who plays Colin, a high school graduate one year ahead of his friends who doesn't want to grow up.
Also slated for appearances are Jason Crowe of Dead Moon Rising fame, Scot Zombi of Till Death Do Us Part, Donald Sublett of Welcome Back, Jimmy Humphrey of I Eat Poop fame, and several others.
Filming for The Last Summer begins in May 2008, and casting is currently in progress. Tell your friends!
