About Me

Hailing from the North but residing in South, Sarah Sweeney has been a purveyor of fine music that speaks to happy souls every since she asked her dad to record Eddie Grant onto cassette for her to play on her Fisher Price player. She first tried her hand at mixing age 13, when the boys werent looking and mananged to "get it in time". Coming of age, she emmersed herself at the Southport Weekenders and began to take her music more seriously, watching as many Dj's as she could. It was F.K. who blew her away, when he played at Bugged Out. Up until then she'd been playing nothing but Roule and Crydamore records. She found her calling and went dancing with her soul. She has moulded a unique sound, fusing the old with the new and marrying them in a way you cant question. Jazz, House, Soul, Broken, Dubstep, Techno, Disco, HipHop she loves it all, and manages to combine all the forces into her sets.In both work and play, Sarah has built a reputation for knowing her music and knowing where it's at. She holds a residency with Chibuku Shakes Shake, one the UK's best nights, in both Liverpool and London. Playing alongside Gilles Peterson, Roots Manuva, Mr Scruff, Adam Goldstone, London Elektricity to name but a few. She also has her sporadic night, Round The House, so keep you eye out! The music comes first with this lady, make no mistake.
