Ryan Turner

Ryan tuner was born and raised in southport into a musical background, his mother was a great singer and his dad a nightclub manager with a great reputation for managing some of the hippest clubs in the country. He first got the dj bug about 6years ago when sarah Sweeney showed him how to use a pair of decks, He started dj’ing in the infamous bar Flava , His dad Alan ’blue note’ turner was the manager of Flava at the time and Ryan had been glass collecting there since he was 13 so the soul music must of absorbed into him as it did with many other dj‘s that had passed through its doors, however he started of playing hip hop and over the years his musical style and influences gradually elevated into everything from dancefloor jazz, house, reggae, brokenbeat, afrobeat, disco, drum n bass and rare groove. Now at 20 the future looks bright as Ryan is enjoying sets in Liverpool at venues like the dragon, room and vinyl. He also joined a new Liverpool collective called footwork(formely soulfelt) a dedicated crew of dj's and musicians trying to promote all forms of good soul inspired music in Liverpool. Whether it be hardcore hip hop, bass led brokenbeat or a dancefloor jazz seesion ryan definetly has the skills to rock the dance floor in his own creative and original style.
