I am here for Friends

About Me

If you ask people who and what I am they'll tell you I am one of the most crazy and passionate Celtic music lovers ever born and raised in Italy. I guess they'd be bloody right! In fact I simply made Celtic music a reason of my life, my religion, my life blood... while other people decided to get a so called "normal life". ;-) Oh, I also got soon mad about Irih and Scottish cultures in a way that's hard to imagine. And I love this kind of serious, cool insanity, that's for sure! Who enlightened my life? Capercaillie and Michael McGoldrick, who are by now living idols to me. The day I had them in front of me I just kneeled down in adoration. What else? Hmmm... I'm a senior student taking a degree in Modern Literatures, I like to meet people and have as much fun as possible in the process.

My Interests

Music above everything else! Then movie making and movie watching, reading and writing as much as I can... plus many many other things too! Alas! Such a little spare time to do everything I'd like to... So please sign my petition for a 48 hours long day!!! ;-) A breaking new... just found I'm so very keen on vintage clothing. That's cool! 8-)

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet people who shares the same passions of mine, people who love good music, people I know I'd love to get in touch with. And, of course, needless to say, I'd like to finally meet , althought a little bit virtually, the artist so much I love and whose music made my heart beat faster.I have a wonderful family at Clan Caillie, friends I love from the bottom of my heart. I obviously would like to meet them all here too! ;-)

Music:

All Celtic music from Scotland, Ireland, Cape Breton, Galicia and all others country where celtic musicians are... they're just fine to me! But a little bit of jazz, ska and every well played music never did any harm to me!

Movies:

First of all, everything signed by Ken Loach and Quentin Tarantino... plus... Bloody Sunday, Michael Collins, In the Name of the Father, Rob Roy, The Boxer, Braveheart, Veronica Guerin, Mickybo & Me, Born Romantic, Lucky Break, Saving Grace, Blade Runner, Sin City, Inside Man, Man on Fire, Training Day, Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, The 25th Hour, Philadelphia, Road to Perdition, Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, The Longest Day, Nikita, The Patriot, The Gangs of New York, Brassed Off, InterMission, Waking Ned Devine, Magdalene, Devil's Own, The Others, Fight Club, Seven, Signs, Snake Eyes, Phone Booth, The 51st State, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Straight Story, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Groundhog Day, Haunted, Frequency, The Perfect Storm, The Unusual Suspects, Three Kings, The Hulk, The Blade Trilogy, The X-Men Trilogy, Hellboy, Along Came Polly, Zoolander, Men in Black, Men in Black II, Minority Report.

Television:

No Italian television. Thumb down. Thankfully I was presented with a satellite thingy and I can see some fine and interesting programmes from England, Spain, France, Switzerland and Germany. Got some problem with German language but I can always learn it in the end! LOL Too bad I can't receive all BBC and RTE stations... too bad missing all those news and programmes. I'd really and honestly give up all italian TV stations I refuse to watch anyway. :-/

Books:

Eyewitness Bloody Sunday, Táin Bó Cúailnge, Il Cardo e la Croce (The Thistle and The Cross), The Nation's Favourite - Poems of Celebrations, William Butler Yeats' poetry and everything written by Robert Louis Stevenson. Plus many more!

Heroes:

Scottish and Irish artists without any doubt! Especially Capercaillie and... the best of the best... Michael McGoldrick! ;-)
