. . . . . . . . . . LIFE, THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING . . . I am a thinker and a dreamer. I live in the realms of both the world of ideas and the world of the imagination. My interests span the whole rainbow of the arts and the sciences. In fact, in my ideal world there would be a complete union of and harmony between the two. They are the 'Yin' and the 'Yang' - the feminine and the masculine - the two sides of the human psyche and the essence of the whole cosmos according to Taoist philosophy. When I was younger I used to have quite narrow horizons - mainly history (in which I finally graduated) and politics (of the left). However, the older I've got the more my horizons have broadened and the more I've taken on new passions. Now, it's everything from world music to abstract art, and from the distant past of planet Earth to the realms of outer space. I've even created a website of astrolinks ( www.astrospaceweb.com ) - visit it!. I'm now more interested in nature, the environment we live in and in saving our planet than I ever used to be before. I can also appreciate different cultures around the world in whatever shape or form they are expressed (so long as they genuinely reflect the people from which they come) more than I ever did before. I feel that the more you know about this world - and this universe - the more wonderful it becomes. Partly because of my half English (with some Scottish and Irish blood) and half Italian (Sardinian) background, I am a passionate European. But my horizons don't stop at Europe - at the same time I regard myself very much as a citizen of the World. No human being living in the global world of the 21st century can be otherwise. Deep down in my soul my dream is still to see a very different, much better world with equality, justice and freedom for all and no more war . . . . only peace and humanity at one with itself and with nature. . . . . . . . . . . . CIRCA ME: LA VITA, L'UNIVERSO E TUTTI . . . Sono un pensatore ed un visionario. Vivo nei regni del mondo delle idee e del mondo dell'immaginazione. I miei interessi misurano l'arcobaleno intero delle arti e delle scienze. Infatti, in il mio mondo ideale ci sarebbe un'unione ed un'armonia complete fra i due. Loro sono il ‘Yin’ ed il ‘Yang’ - il femminile ed il maschile - i due lati dello psyche umano e l'essenza dell'universo intero secondo la filosofia di Tao. Quando ero più giovane ho usato avere orizzonti abbastanza stretti - principalmente la storia (in quale mi sono laureate infine) e la politica (della sinistra). Tuttavia, il più vecchio ho ottenuto il più i miei orizzonti hanno ampliato ed il più che ho preso dei nuove passioni. Adesso è tutti: dalla musica del mondo al'arte astratto e dal passato distante della terra ai regni dello spazio esterno. Ancora ho generato un sito dei astrolink ( www.astrospaceweb.com ) - visitilo!. Ora sono più interessato alla natura, all'ambiente in cui viviamo ed alla salvezza del nostro pianeta che mai ero già. Anche posso apprezzare di più le culture diverse intorno al mondo in qualunque figure o forme sono espresse (a condizione che riflettano veramente la gente da cui vengono) che mai ho già. Ritengo che il più si conosce questo mondo - e questo universo – il più diventa meraviglioso. Parzialmente a causa delle mie origini mezzo inglese (con qualche sangue scozzese ed irlandese) e mezzo italiano (sardo), sono un europeo appassionato. Ma i miei orizzonti non si arrestano all’Europa - allo stesso tempo mi considero molto un cittadino del Mondo. Nessun dell'essere umano che vive nel mondo globale del 21º secolo può essere al contrario. Nel basso profondo della mia anima il mio sogno è di vedere ancora un mondo molto differente e molto migliore con uguaglianza, giustizia e libertà per tutti e non più con la guerra . . . soltanto il pace e l’umanità unito con se e con la natura.
