About Me

Alison Notkin is a singer-songwriter based in Montreal. She has been into music since the age of five, when she started playing ukelele, singing harmonies and writing funny little songs. She has since developed into a talented guitarist, composer and singer and now writes songs that are no longer funny nor little, but are nevertheless, still quite good.
Alison is currently working on a body of acoustic pop songs which she plans to record in 2009. The sound is a unique blend of pop, bluegrass, and groove music. She has been joined on recent recordings by Solon and Jeremiah McDade on upright bass and fiddle/whistles respectively.
