FENDERTONES

This site is a tribute to the Fendertones!

About Me

The Fendertones (with Joe Ray), can be heard occasionally on local Dallas public radio station KNON Radio during KNON’s blues programs with Ginger Litton (Thursdays) and Don O! (Fridays). Support public radio!

This site is maintained as a tribute and all inquiries/messages should be directed HERE.
The band as assembled originally consisted of:

JOE-lead guitars, vocals.

SANTOS-bass guitars

DAVE -drums, percussion, vocals.

James Johnson is the owner/proprietor of the Noisevault recording studio in Dallas and close friend and music producer for the Fendertones. He has recorded some well known bands and artists, like the Stratoblasters and the Transcenders. Be sure to check out his studio’s website here.

Influences:

The Fendertones are and have been influenced by many different artists. BB King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Jimmy Reed, and Lightning Hopkins are a few of them. Some others are Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Chuck Berry, Ritchie Valens, Waylon Jennings. Even some other inspirations are the Beatles, the Ventures, The Ramones, etc.

The list could go on and on and on.....

Sounds Like: The Fendertones have numerous influences that we believe are evident in our music, but we also believe in our unique aspect and approach to blues and rock and roll.
