Victory Garden Records

Chugging along with a funnel of steam

About Me

Victory Garden Records have been going for TEN, yes, TEN incredible years, and get stronger by the hour, like an exciting new lead enhanced carbon alloy that's been taught not only to reproduce itself, but also to evolve in a progressive manner.
Stuart and Philm started the imprint purely to release their debut Southall Riot 7" EP, but before long it had snowballed, frighteningly, into a home for all manner of outsize mishapes and artistic victoriana follyisms.
Eight track cartridges, mummified cassettes, postal art, box sets of bumf released in ridiculously small quantities, recording sessions in the pouring rain during total solar eclipses, and the original home of Mercury Award nominated artists AND the now hugely popular "brutal casio grindcore" genre. We've had a couple of turkeys in there, but hey! our track record pisses over yours, so quiet.
Despite appearances to the contrary, the label is still in full swing. We have rocked, we do rock, we will rock. Worth noting, however, that we have no money. Come up with an interesting idea (of any shape or form) and we'll consider it - send us a mail saying "We're a band and our music is great ! Spend money on us !", and you'll get less than short shrift. Chairs !!
