About Me

Air Formation hail from Sussex in the south of England. They are Matt Bartram (vocals, guitar), Ben Pierce (bass), Richard Parks (keyboards), James Harrison (drums) & Phil Macy (guitar). The band has been creating uplifting song based space-rock since late 1999.Born out of a love for ‘Flying Saucer Attack’ and the likes of ‘Spacemen 3’ & ‘The Jesus and Mary Chain’ Air Formation create songs awash with heavily delayed guitar and feedback, interwoven with keyboard drones and whispered vocals.Over the past 7 years the band has released three albums, ‘Ends in Light’ (Drive-In Records 2002), ‘Stay Inside/ Feel Everything’ (Clairecords 2004) & 'Daylight Storms' (Club AC30 2007). Other releases include the debut 'S/T Mini Album (Drive-in Records 2000) and the Pat Collier produced '57 Octaves Below' EP (Club AC30 2005). Our new single 'It's Over Now/Formation 2' will be released on the 1st of October by Club AC30, available on 7" and download only. The 7" is ltd to 200 copies and is expected to sell out very quickly...

Not sure I really say this enough...

I just love being in this band!!! Things really seem to be clicking into place, the songs are getting fast and loud again (and there's plenty of 'em people)... our ears ring after each rehearsal...
