Southern California is the birthplace of popular automobile culture. In the days when Automobiles were the center of southern-california culture (think 'American Grafitti'), businesses had to exaggerate their advertising to attract motorists. A lot of this signage from the 50's and 60's still exists and can be seen all around Southern California today.This myspace page and this collection is absolutely free, and exists purely as a way to share my hobby with others. If anybody is interested in downloading a full-resolution image or would like to go on a treasure hunt and see these things in person, please contact me.
