In the Tongan launguage I'kona means "the good feeling", In regaurds to music, I'kona (pronounced e-co-nuh) is a polynesian band that epitomizes the su, surf,and sandvibe of Southern California. They evoke "the good feeling" with a sound that is a blend of alterative pop, a dash of neo-soul, a splash of funk,and a hint of reggae.Bassist, Haini Wolfgramm, describes their music as "Maroon 5 meets Bob Marley". He believes "explosive stage presenceand pop sensibility" has granted them a pass to share billswith national acts Steel Pulse,Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Keaton Simons, Keb Moe, Pepper and Lucky DubeI'kona has made their name a staple at infamous Los Angeles venues, such as, The House of Blues Sunset Strip and Anaheim, Knittining Factory,Key Club, Viper Room....
