About Me

well its been a long fun ride playing music for so long. I guess it started in the garage in 1994 as MAJESTIC 12. jana wittren joined on vocals and we were a band. suits and coffee shops, playing music. we recorded a bunch of songs and made tapes to give out. later in 96 & 97 most of the songs appeared on 3 different 7" records from indiepop labels shelflife, moonscreen, and quiddity. a CD collection of this era has been slated to be released for some time and i think someday it will actually happen. we had some really good shows and some that nearly made us break up.

NOTHING ON TV
..
after we quit playing shows for a while, jana with some friends formed the ARROGANTS. they have some amazing releases and just released a new CD and DVD package available from www.tweekitten.com . The rest of us started home recording new songs and finding a happier pop side that we experimented with in the living room of our messy north hollywood house. We had cubase, a bunch of instruments and a whole lot of time to mess around. Friends came in adding a little here and there, horns, strings and moog, we overindulged in it all. Jarond, Pat, and Sunny from the band REDDY KILOWATT even came over and helped us cover some of thier songs. this year long adventure was released in 1999 on shelflife records titled "live it up" and later released in Japan on tone vendor records. we played a bunch of great shows but had our best time playing in San Francisco, in the indie pop scene. Mostly too many experiences to even start mentioning but it didnt get much better than opening up for ROCKETSHIP when you are a nerdy pop band.

BUB
..

we continued to record new songs while playing live shows until we finally released a second album on shelflife in 2001 (in september no less) and on wah! records in Japan. we toured around and had fun, mostly it was just an excuse to take road trips and have something to dowith our friends. we haven't played in a while but we still get together occasionally and record songs for random compilations. an album ot two may still be there waiting to come out, who knows........

ok so one time a drunk guy while watching our show told jayd from the arrogants that "...that guy really needs his ass kicked, he's just too happy"i guess that really sums majestic up, a little too happy... maybe to cover up the underlying sad.
