About Me

I am frightened! Check out this video:
By the way. . .I don't object to a V.P. candidate who has a personal photo in which she looks hooker-sexy. We all have those. I object to a candidate who refuses to admit that global warming is man-made and that polar bears are endangered and who virulently opposed a bill that would ban people in Alaska from shooting wolves from airplanes.Am I the only one who saw the movie "Never Cry Wolf"? Wanna buy my first album?
It features the songs Nicotine Angel, Starlight, Trainsong, Clean Getaway, Dreams, Annika, Melting Away, Nicotine Angel, Peligrosa, Tumbleweed, Lonesome Road, Tony, and Alone? E-mail me at [email protected] and I'll hook you up.
I am a singer/songwriter in love with music and the guitar.

I knew I REALLY loved rock music in the third grade when I heard Men at Work's "Land Down Under", The Police's "King of Pain", Pat Benatar's "Shadows of the Night" and Billy Idol's "Catch My Fall," all in the same amazing year.
I started writing poetry in high school, accompanied by wax-dripping candles and music by The Smiths and Depeche Mode set on repeat. I was inspired to pick up the guitar at age 18 after hearing Hole's "Live Through This." I am a member of Songsalive!, a guerilla networking group for independent artists. I'm a journalist, music and otherwise, a published poet, and a teacher.
I have recorded a 5-song demo and my first album, self-released and produced by Andrew Chapin of The Den Recorders (www.thedenrecorders.com), is currently being mixed. Its working title is "Nicotine Angel." It's time for me to start performing.
I'm 32. I'm a cancer. I'm sad sometimes. I'm happy sometimes. I write every day. I listen to music every day. I teach. Check out my myspace blog if you like poetry and musings.
Yes, I have a video
This video was made about a year ago by my talented friends, Jordan Hitchcock and Francisco J. Rojas. Yes, I did hold a snake for the video. It was actually kind of soothing. Anyhoo, if you want to watch the video here, you might want to hit pause on the song playing at the top of the page. I'll give you the url in case you want to watch it on YouTube. You rock! URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P04YbRk4SHs
Feel free to embed that shiznat!
"Trainsong is featured in an independent film called "The Journey," which was created by a writer/filmmaker friend of mine. I just got a copy of the movie and will watch it very soon. (You might spot me, very plumply, hanging out as an extra in one scene at an archaeology convention. Yummy!)
The tagline reads: "Sometimes you have to get lost. . . to find yourself."

The URL for the film is http://www.thejourneythemovie.com

The description sounds great:

The Journey" follows the unique adventures of Steve, a chronic video game addict, wasting his days away in a cloud of pot smoke and underachievement as a flunky at Target. In deep denial of his latino heritage, Steve is locked into a life of mundane gratification. That is, until his long suffering girlfriend Rhona rocks his world by dumping him and leaving for an archaeological dig in Mexico."Getting the boot" snaps Steve out of his comfort zone and sends him into a spiral of depression and anger. Trying to recover his emotional equilibrium, Steve hooks up disastrously with several ex-girlfriends before finally realizing that he's just lost the only woman he truly loves.Heeding the words of several impromptu mentors, Steve finally gets off his couch and heads off to Mexico in a spur-of-the-moment adventure to track Rhona down and win her back. However, Steve quickly finds himself lost and alone in a strange, magical country that is quite different from the one he's seen on TV. Danger, temptation and adventure are around every corner. But, most of all, it's the heartfelt encounters with the Mexican people that start to change Steve; awakening his Latino soul and changing him from a shallow slacker into a mature young man.But it's not just the challenges of the wild, open road that confront our hero. To win Rhona back, Steve must contend with "Antonio" &mdash a mysterious rival who taunts him mercilessly on the Internet and claims to have seduced her!So, come along on "The Journey!" a heartfelt, funny, and exciting coming of age story, seen through the eyes of a likeable hero discovering the man inside himself, his heritage and the real world that lies just south of his own backyard.I'll keep you posted on how to see the movie.

Still happy Oh, yeah, I've fallen in love. His name is Brian and he makes me so happy. I've known him since I was 7. He is my best friend's little brother. I am officially rocking the cradle of love. But I like Billy Idol, so that's cool.
"You make me want to pick up a guitar/And celebrate the myriad ways that I love you." —Interpol, "Slow Hands
