Jene'ba Suma .. The Movement

About Me

Jeneba Suma...... Originally from Sierra Leone, West Africa, planted her roots right here in Baltimore City. She's a home grown artist that's been skillfully developed by her mother - Tanwa Suma.
Jeneba took on the mighty stage at the tender age of 3 and claimed music as her best friend ever since. With a mom that involved her in every oppurtunity to spread her wings, this song bird was bound to take flight. She still continues to fly with captivating vocals, moving lyrics and a stage presence that consistently woo's the masses.
If you've never seen 'JSuma', you've got something to look forward to. On the stage, Jeneba is always in rare form. She has graced the stage sharing the bill with artists such as Raheem Devaughn, Angie Stone and Donnie. She's also shared mics with some of Baltimore's self made superstars such as Golden Seal, Ogun, Brown F.I.S.H., Olu Butterfly, JSoul, The 5th L's - Native Son & Femi (the dri fish), E The Poet Emcee , Baltimore's own Fertile Ground and the list goes on...
Her musical style can not be categorized. She will massage your ears with soul-crying sounds of hip-hop, jazz, self-written originals like "Comfortable In My Skin", alternative and house music. Her set takes you through a musical time capsule. To experience her is to love her. Jene'ba Suma not just an artist, but a movement!!!
