Writing, lettering, design, font design, magic, books of all types, rearing children (I have three, one of each) and anything else I'm likely to have forgotten.
Creatives, freethinkers and folks with personality.
One-hit wonders of the '80s, Jazz (anything but "smooth", that's not jazz, that's for waiting rooms), almost any kind of classical, recently I'm on a Beastie Boys kick, I'm always on an Ice-T kick
Casablanca to Cool Runnings, Thin Man to Monster House. Yeah, I'm eclectic.
I'm usually not much of a watcher, but Bill Maher is always on the list, Daily Show too. New Season has me watching Heroes and Studio 60 with a slack jaw and bugged eyes. Nice to see good writing on TV again.
I like ones with words. Really, it's my only requirement...though I must admit I've never been big on historical or saccharine-seeping romance. The last week I have finally decided to fill a gap in my education and have been reading Assimov's ROBOT novels for the first time. QUITE fine thought the fourth one had WAY too much exposition for my taste.
Tom Jefferson, Leonardo da Vinci, Sam Clemens, Jim Garretson, and probably a dozen more depending on what's being served at the bar.
