About Me

- I'm still in my 20s. Just. - I often sport a beard, according to mood. - I draw comics. - I like music, but find myself unable to like skinny jeans. - If I could, I would constantly cook bacon, brew coffee and cut grass, just for the smell. - You can hire me for artistic stuff. - You can't hire me in DVD form, as I am a human. - After buying many a muckle, I now own a mickle. - I know how to correctly use apostrophe's. - I have no sense of humour. Just kidding. See? That wasn't funny.

My Interests

Comics, art, film, music, going out, clubbing and having a laff wiv ma mates, the idea of Greek mythology rather than the details since I haven't read about it really, porpoises (just for the ease of use in puns), and.... Peru.

I'd like to meet:

Creative types. Anybody whose primary concerns aren't "going out, clubbing and having a laff wiv ma mates". So not 99% of MySpace members, then.Oh, and anybody involved in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I already found a brick.

Music:

Tripping Daisy and the Polyphonic Spree, Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder, Zero 7, Jurassic 5, 4 Hero, Ozomatli, Rage Against the Machine, Beck, Orbital, Air, Jeff Buckley, Arctic Monkeys (like everyone else), Do Me Bad Things, Duran Duran, Hot Hot Heat, Maximo Park, Soulwax, Millionaire, Joe Cocker, Frank Sinatra, Velvet Revolver, H2SO4, The Who, Eels, early Smashing Pumpkins (before the goth stuff), The Egg, The Raconteurs, Von Bondies, Adrian Byron Burns, The Ads, Wolfmother, Future of the Left, Los Campesinos, The Dandy Warhols, Midnight Juggernauts, MGMT, Screaming Trees.

Movies:

Sexy Beast, The Big Lebowski, A View to a Kill, Transformers: the Movie, Shaun of the Dead, The Taking of Pelham 123, Dr. Strangelove, The original Star Wars trilogy, The original Indiana Jones movies, The Shining, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Dig!, Hot Fuzz, Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny, Adaptation, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Omen, Death Proof, No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, Iron Man, The Dark Knight.

Television:

I watch it more than I want to, but only really look forward to Mock the Week.

Books:

Yeah, I've heard of them.

Heroes:

I missed most of Season 2, but apparently it wasn't that good.

P-p-p-pick up a Penguin

I am so tired.Eyes hurt like a hurty thing on hurty pills. The reason is that instead of getting the early night I needed, I went and drew up a new bean man illustration, my first since Thor a few mon...

Take that, Cap’n Crunch!

Cap'n Credit Crunch is a cruel tyrant. More and more, he's reminding us that we've had it pretty damn good for a while now. I'm among the thousands of people who moan and groan about being perma-broke...

Results, Convention & Focus

Anybody following my blog will no doubt be sick to death of my incessant "Vote for My Daddy's a Super-Villain!" posts and bulletins. It wasn't just here, it was every site I could get my grubby virtua...

Vote Small!

So we're well into the first week of voting on Zuda's September contest. So far, it's going good, but I will never stop campaigning! Well, until it ends. No point after that. But, as Eliot Ness once ...

Your vote counts

Heard of Zuda Comics?I hope you have, because it's a good thing. It's a chance for webcomics to not only find an audience, but potentially earn a place in the happy smiley world of Zuda ongoing strips...

Thor struck this week

What a nightmare. This week just seems to have gone all wrong, every day piling a fresh heap of poo onto the previous shovel load. Of course, I'm slightly overdramatising, but that's my nature. Essen...

Return of the Mack!

Well, not the Mack, so much as me. Closest I get to being a Mack is that my hair looked a bit like Columbo's the other day. Seriously, you should have seen it; work colleagues were amazed and friends ...

It sucks not being able to show anything of what I've been working on (admittedly, I've been a lot slower recently than I would have liked). So a little update is in order, I think. Our story for Popgu...
