About Me

About me..hhmmm what about me. It's funny, you never really realize how boring you are until you have to tell someone...about me. So let's see, my name is Jim Giar. I am an artist/writer. Blindly stumbling, hands out, in the darkness that is self publishing. I am the creator, writer and artist of a 200+ page graphic novel, Souldriver. I'm fortunate enough to be married to a beautiful woman and lucky enough to have two great kids.... But cursed enough that they're both girls and they look like their mother. I can almost hear the sound of boys footsteps on my front porch now. I'm influenced by everything around me. From what I read..see and hear. I chase my dream of self publishing....and I'm close on it's heels! Close enough that I can taste the blood on my teeth.

So many people so little time.... Lot's of folks. Anyone cursed with the need to create or express themselves. Be it through art, literature, music or film. My book SoulDriver was inspired by all 4. So if you stop by say hey. Music:

I can listen to anything from Sade to the far other side and plug into some Rammstein..depends on what I'm doin'. I like mostly metal but I own all Coldplay as well as She Wants Revenge, The Bravery. I'll listen to some country as long as it's Jonny Cash..the rest is for shit and only gives me the desire to drive my vehicle into a brick wall. Favorite metal..hmmm..Hatebreed, Slipknot,Sepultura, Amen,Rob Zombie/ White Zombie(miss those days),Otep( Miss Shamaya..a lyrical muse),Rammstein ,NiN ,Meshuggah ,System of a Down, and just to many other bands to list out. And one last thing....Ennio Morricone is a audio genius and a musical god!!!!One of the best metal bands out there...and what I'm currently listening to. Check out the new SLIPKNOT CD if you haven't yet.....Well done guys!Yes...Life is beautiful.
