My Interests

Music, the BUSINESS of music, Production, Recording, Poetry, LITERATURE!! (I could live alone with my books), the Unseen Forces of the Universe... I have tried to study metaphysics and spirituality as much as possible, but always seem to get weighted down by the mundane.

I'd like to meet:

People that make stuff and do stuff.
a fisherman, a farmer, an electrician, a plumber, a carpenter, a mechanic, a civil engineer, a stone mason, a freemason, a witch, a wizard, and a brewer. There's just a few famous people I'd like to meet; Deepak Chopra, Phil Lesh, Stevie Wonder, James Hetfield, Anne Wilson, Joseph Campbell, Mel Brooks, and maybe Al Gore...
"I'm frightened by the Devil and I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid."

Music:

Local Music is the Best!! Northeast Ohio is home to some of the most amazing talents, including: David Mayfield, his baby sister Chittlin', their band One Way Rider, Ekoostik Hookah, Burning River Band, Blonde Boy Grunt and the Groans, Roger Hoover & The Whiskeyhounds, One Under, Kevin McCarthy, Machine Go Boom, The New Lou Reeds, The Dreadful Yawns, Doug McKean, Chris Allen, JJ Magazine, Woodshed Mercy, Hayshaker Jones, Boatzz, The Twilight, Expecting Rain, Sultans of Bing, Smiley Baldazar, Courageous Minority, Buckeye Roots, Carlos Jones, Red Hot Jimbo Zydeco, Rachel Roberts Band.... the list goes on and on.

My favorite famous musicians are: Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Sant, The Band, Willie Nelson, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, HEART!, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Warren Haynes, Grateful Dead, Phish, Widespread Panic, Keller Williams, Hank Williams, Dresden Dolls, Jack Johnson.

Movies:

"Heathers", "Blue Velvet", "Easy Rider", "Viva Las Vegas", "Little Shop of Horrors", stupid juvenile comedies, campy horror, all "Star Wars" and the better "Star Trek" movies...all sci-fi really...

Television:

I have an addiction.

Books:

Just finished ANNA KARENINA by Tolstoy. WOW. Suddenly, I understand my own life and position in society. STEPPENWOLF is a very psychedelic book. "Rock Guitar for Dummies", "The Tao of Willie", "The Art of Pilgrimage: The Seekers Guide to Making Travel Sacred", "The Art of Happiness", "Zen for Americans," "The Tao of Pooh," "Energy Ecstasy and Your Seven Vital Chakras," "Siddartha." Plus everything by Ursula LeGuin and Joseph Campbell.

Heroes:

Bill Graham. Ann Wilson. Eleanor Roosevelt. Bugsy Siegel. Johnny Cash. Tyrants everywhere.
