About Me

Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own! Bobby E. Boyd (aka 'Bandera Bob') is a Grammy Award Winning Songwriter with his most recent hit "Bless The Broken Road" (co-written with Marcus Hummon and Jeff Hanna) recorded by 'Rascal Flatts' . The song was No.1 for 6 weeks in 2005 and won a Grammy for Country Song of The Year in Feb. 2006 . It was also the most played song of the year , NSAI Song of the Year and has been awarded a Million-Air Certification by BMI (the 3rd for Boyd) . The Album - 'Feels Like Today' , driven by "Broken Road" , "Fast Cars & Freedom" and "Sarabeth (Skin)" , was the top selling Country Album of 2005 . Boyd's other hits include the No.1 song "In Pictures" by the group 'Alabama' (co-written with Joe Doyle) and the Top 10 song "Working Man's Phd." by 'Aaron Tippin' (co-written with Tippin and Philip Douglas) . These songs are also Million-Air Award Winners from BMI . Boyd has had other cuts and chart songs with such Artists as Martina McBride , Mark McGuinn , Linda Davis , Deryl Dodd , Melodie Crittendon & many others . "Broken Road" has also climbed the charts again as the 1st Single from the duets Album by the Christian group 'Selah' .
Boyd is now on a quest to "figure out what it was about the music in the 70's that worked so well and , with a few artists & friends , try to bring that into the 'aughties' ". The cuts "Always The Only Way" and "A Million Ways To Say I Love You" are the 1st two releases of what we hope will start a trend that we like to call a "Return To Music" .
"I guess I'm putting out a 'Call To Arms' to all the Songwriters & Artists to throw off 'conventional wisdom' & just write & record songs that you love . Go listen to Jim Croce or Cat Stevens or Deep Purple and then emulate and create your own version of what that music makes you feel . There are so many great singers out there but the song has to be King and we've fallen away from that" . If you agree , then please let us know (and maybe join us in the quest!) ................
