Christophe de Bezenac

After graduating from the Strasbourg Conservatoire in contemporary improvised music and composition in 2000, Christophe de Bezenac went on to study Sundanese gamelan music at The Institute for Traditional Performing Arts (STSI) in West Java, Indonesia. He has also been awarded awarded a Masters and PhD degree from the University of Leeds for his work in the perceptual ambiguity of music; his research interests include, music perception, ethnomusicology, ecological psychology, instrumental experimentation, improvisational models, and human-computer interaction.Collaborating with musicians from diverse musical backgrounds, Christophe is actively involved in the Leeds/UK music scene and has performed at a number of contemporary music and jazz festivals (e.g. Musica, Gateshead International Jazz Festival, Bath Internation Music Festival and London Jazz Festival).
