Hail The Size

NEW RECORD COMING featuring MARIA MCKEE

About Me

Hail The Size is the LA-based songwriting team of Charles Ezell and drummer, Matt North. Both ex-patriot Midwesterners, North (Champaign, IL) & Ezell (St. Cloud, MN) have the hippest live show in the greater LA area featuring special appearances by A-list musicians, guest star comedians, and Ezell’s hallowed characters, General Ulysses S. Grant and The Cop Poet - a true must see reality running regularly at The FAKE Gallery on Melrose Avenue. The LA Weekly writes, “Lead singer Ezell is a cross between a young John Belushi and John Prine. Maria McKee digs ‘em too.” Liverpool’s Americana-UK praises Hail The Size, “This is country rock with added wit rather than a Ween style parody. No need to curb your enthusiasm for this LA musical excursion.”North has recorded and performed live with such artists as Viktor Krauss (Lyle Lovett), Blondie Chaplin (Rolling Stones), Abby Travis (Beck), Nicholas Tremulis, and Jesse DeNatale.Hail The Size’s upcoming CD “I CAN’T DIE IN LA” features 8 tracks with former Lone Justice lead singer, MARIA MCKEE, and cellist Matt Fish (Alejandro Escavedo, John Cale), LA guitar superhero Carey Fosse (Possum Dixon, Spain), and is set for street release in Fall 2007.EP AVAILABLE NOW @ CDBaby.com & iTunes MyGen Profile Generator MyGen Profile Generator

EAR CANDY MAG: "Booze, Pills, & Her is a soon to be classic."

Ear Candy Magazine Reviews:Charles Ezell sounds so much like Steve Earle that it's spooky. If I had not looked at the cd before I stuck it in the player I would have swore I was listening to Earle. Th...
