Here's the official version of Matt's Bio:
Composer and cellist Matt Fish writes an eclectic blend of rock, folk, hip-hop, and classical music. His work appears most recently on MTV's YO MAMA, hosted by Wilmer Valderrama. He co-wrote and produced the power-pop single "Give Up the Fight" for the upcoming feature film BLUSH (in pre-production). He has also contributed music to a few documentaries, including RUNNER'S HIGH, which tells the story of inner-city youth who find courage and hope as they train for the Los Angeles marathon.
As a cellist, Matt has toured the U.S. and Europe with Alejandro Escovedo and Matt Nathanson. He has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) and Austin City Limits (PBS). Matt has also worked with John Cale (of Velvet Underground fame), Mark Eitzel (American Music Club), members of the Turtle Island String Quartet, Paula Frazer and many more. A veteran of the San Francisco acoustic and indie scenes, he has performed at Carnegie Hall, the famed Fillmore auditorium, the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
He was principal cellist of the Disney World All-American Orchestra in Orlando, Florida. Matt earned his undergraduate degree from the Indiana University school of music, where he studied with Helga Winold and world-renowned jazz pedagogue David Baker.
