Drill, Baby Drill, right through that skull!

About Me

Hi! I'm Katie and I started playing violin when I was three years old. I've always loved singing. I've always written little tunes except when I was a kid I would give all the songs wacky names---like a word with lots of x's and z's. I wanted to play French Horn in school band but my mom said flute was more versatile so I played that and switched to French Horn in high school. People always give me guitars but I am not very good on guitar. I moved to New York by accident and I started playing violin in the subways to earn a living. From there I got offers to work with all sorts of people and have been playing violin as a "day job" ever since. I started my own band in 2004 and have since played many memorable shows in some very stinky and some deliciously aroma-ed downtown NYC/Brooklyn clubs. I have started to learn piano lately and a really awesome lady loaned me a viola so now I can sit really close to the bassoons when I play in orchestra. I live in Williamsburg but if you see me in ugly clothes it's only because I only have ugly clothes. I have an EP out (see below) and I am everyday fantasizing and plotting out my new double LP. I'm sure you can find out more about me on the Intraweb but for now I hope to see you at a live show soon!

I Love Modern Technology

After years of striving on a Toshiba Satellite 1998, I have finally updated to a computer from 2008. It seems almost like a miracle; right now I can't spend more than 20 minutes at a time on the comp...
