About Me

Hello, my name is J’Anna (pronounced Janna) and I do lots of different things as a musician. I grew up in musical family and I literally lived above my family’s music store in Paradise, California for the first several years of my life. I have a theory that I can sleep through anything as a result of this clamorous beginning. I’ve been a member of Rod Stewart’s band since Jan. 1999, playing violin/fiddle, mandolin, guitar, coordinating string sections and singing background vocals. In early 2006 I toured with Il Divo as the conductor/concertmaster of their orchestra. From April to December 2006 I toured with the Dixie Chicks playing fiddle, mandolin, guitar, accordion and whatever else they could find to keep me out of trouble. In 2007 I was back with Mr. Stewart doing another U.S./Canada/European tour through November 2007...2008 started back up with tours of New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Brasil, Chile, Argentina, Tobago in April and the month of August 2008 touring around the U.S...and the beat goes on... You can check out our scheduled dates at www.pollstar.com. If you want to learn more about the various things that keep me busy and interested as a musician you can visit my website at www.jannajacoby.com. Thanks for popping in!
