I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

It occured to me that maybe I should write something in here. So here ya go. My name is Megan B. Lynch. I live in Nashville but I'm from California. They're not as different as you think. Well, the avocadoes are better in California, but that's about it. I play and teach the fiddle for a living. I used to deckhand on commercial yachts. And manage a coffeehouse. And book appointments at a high-end salon in Las Vegas. Well, I say high-end, but that just means we had Louie Anderson and some really expensive hookers as clients. My website has more pictures and my appearance calendar, if you care. It's www.fiddlestar.com For three years I played with Koch recording artists 3 Fox Drive but I left in 2007 to start really concentrating on my new venture - FiddleStar Camps. Find out more about that at www.myspace.com/fiddlestarcamp. I am, oddly enough, a six time National Fiddle Champion and I've played on the Grand Old Opry 4 times, including once at the Ryman Auditorium. I've played with Pam Tillis, Larry Cordle, Chris Stuart and Backcountry, Due West, and the Chieftains, among others. Banjo great Bill Evans and I have a really groovy duet project and people seem to like it. Which makes me happy. You can find out more about us at in our little MySpace world www.mypace.com/billevansandmeganlynch. I'm also working on yet another solo CD and am writing some instructional method books. You know, the basics... I also fill in with other bluegrass and country bands on occasion. A hired gun - if you will. I used to compete in fiddle contests a lot, like, a whole lot. Now, slightly less. I have crossed the country four times playing in clubs and bars to make money. On Greyhound. I don't know if that's really cool, or incredibly tragic. Story of my life...
