About Me

Ball Hog is a punk band from Santa Barbara, CA. Together for a year and a half, Ball Hog has played shows in Isla Vista, Goleta, Summerland, and Ventura. Their music can be compared to the sounds of The Minutemen, Sonic Youth, Husker Du, and The Dead Kennedys. Their lyrics combine pointed political commentary and smart satire.

Influences: Our influences are wide ranging. We are influenced by the Minutemen, Husker Du, Devo, Sonic Youth, Crass, the Clash, etc.
Sounds Like: Ball Hog sounds like Mike Watt, Sonic Youth, Dead Kennedys, and Devo. Although we present ourselves as a punk band, in the words of the Minutemen: "Punk is whatever we make it to be."
