Social Concern

Pop punk...right?

About Me

Social Concern is a punk rock band out of Redding, California. We've played towns all over the place from Medford, OR to Whittiar, CA. We're working on Oregon, Nevada and lots of Southern California.
We starteed playing in May, 2003, mostly because we were three kids in a small town and bored as hell. Eventually, we progressed beyond that, creating the genre of "barn core" (ask, if you really want to know).
In September, 2006 our beloved drummer Brandi decided it was time for her to move on with her life and quit SC. Enter Bryan, the newest beloved addition to Social Concern and a healthy dose of testosterone for the previously all-female band.
Our influences range far and wide, from hardcore to soft rock, techno, metal and obviously, punk. We're always writing new songs and looking for new places to play.
Visit our actual website for lyrics, MP3s, more pictures and other random stuff.

Booking Shows
We'd love to play wherever you want us to. Send us a message. If it's farther away from us than an hour of driving, we need about 2 or 3 weeks notice so we can get the time off work, because well, ya gotta work to eat and all the other necessary stuff in life.
