EYE JAMMY TEASER, check out our REEL, peep the teaser SUNSHOWAH***********************************"EYEJAMMY" featured in the JUNE 26 2006 newsweek issue********Daoud Abeid and Dahkil Hausif formed Sunshowah in 1999 out of a need to counteract one dimensional images depicting urban life on screen. Merging a love of film, street knowledge, and a passion for hiphop culture and music. Daoud and Dahkil met at Syracuse University where they both pursued degrees in television and film production. After graduating they carried their mutual interests further and became business partners. Sunshowah's built its solid reputation by working on multimedia projects ranging from television to the web. Their first project, a documentary called "Justice Executed", explored the controversial case surrounding death row inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal. In collaboration with The Source magazine, Abeid and Hausif contributed on the production of a second documentary called "Joe Gotta Go" which premiered at New York City's Urban World Film Festival. Staying true to their roots Abeid and Hausif used hiphop as a vehicle to showcase their versatility and willingness to take creative risks. Their first film rev'o.lu,shun won best short in the 2002 Philadelpia International Fim Festival (philafilm). They produced segments and interviews with rap artists, Jay-z, Talib Kweli, and KRS-ONE among others for Ralph McDaniels renowned video show Video Music Box. Sunshowah eventually headed the writing, production and editing of McDaniels' internet live stream television show, Video Music Box online where many artists including 50 Cent appeared as guests. Sunshowah is working with Spitkicker in development of a show showcasing the talent and personality of artists from Sptkickers legendary roster.Sunshowah continues to work on projects that bring to the forefront nuances of everyday struggles often glossed over by the film industry.They are in the final stages of their upcoming film "eye jammy" which will premier in early 2006
