About Me

I am highly curious and in love with language. These are the main reasons that I have become a journalist. My favourite "side project" is writing for the biggest German webzine on music from Scandinavia, NORDISCHE MUSIK , concentrating on pop from Finland, but also rock and pop from the rest of Scandinavia.

My Interests

NORDISCHE MUSIKReading. Running. Writing. Trees and Forests. Deserted places. Music. Art. Good poetry. Soccer. Lengthy Victorian Novels. Discovering. Learning new languages. Movies. Going to gigs of bands I never heard before. The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. English landscape parks. My home region Badenia and Freiburg. Spain and Finland. Gradually changing things like dusk and dawn. Dancing. Cremant dAlsace. Finnish strawberries.

I'd like to meet:

Some people already dead. Gustav Mahler most badly. Or William Blake. And Uwe Johnson. Or Mr. Darcy: :)

Music:

Everything bold and beautiful and tender and breathtaking! What I enjoy at the moment: Cats On Fire. Teitur. Wojcich. Final Fantasy. EF. Logh. Rubik. Shout Out Louds.

Movies:

Leon by Luc Besson. Strange Days by Kathryn Bigelow. Out Of Sight by Steven Soderbergh. From Dusk Till Dawn by Robert Rodriguez. Almost everything by Pedro Almodovar. The Wonderful Mexican movies Amores Perros and Y Tu Mama Tambien. Down By Law and Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch. A lot of Kaurismäki. The Village by M. Night Shyamalan. The classic Silent Running (THE movie for tree lovers like me!).Movies I recently liked were brutal and beautiful Pans Labyrinth and the heartbreak film about dysfunctional families and utter loneliness Junebug.
