"(Mal) élevés aux 45 tours des Beatles période Sgt Pepper et au sanguinolent In utero de Nirvana, les sales gosses de ce jeune groupe rennais, formé en 2002, sortent de leur coffre à jouets une pop passée à l'eau de javel, faussement naïve et irrésistiblement entêtante.
Montgomery a la classe... mais façon débraillée, avec lacets défaits, cheveux en pétard et costard froissé... Légèrement pervers bien sûr, ces gamins surdoués torturent leurs peluches en cachette, et passent des journées enfermés dans leurs chambres à dynamiter, à coup de guitares vrillées, les mélodies évidentes et imparables de leurs chansons évolutives. Enivré par la voix singulière du chanteur, on divague de la légèreté à l'inquiétude, passant avec délice d'une insouciante fraîcheur mélodique à de soudains orages électriques...
Comme si les Beach Boys jouaient au tennis avec Sonic Youth et que Gainsbourg faisait l'arbitre... "

The brats of this young band from Rennes were raised under the watchful eye of Sergeant Pepper and tutored by Nirvana's "In Utero".
Montgomery , born in 2002, climbed out of their playpen singing a bleached-out pop which is openly idiotic and infectiously insistant. They are both classy, with their spectacles and vintage keyboards, and classicly dishevelled in their crumpled suits and tousled hair.
Look beyond this foolish disguise and you will see unremitting, pathological perfectionnists seeking the perfect arrangement. If they act like children, it's because they'd rather laugh at their fears than run screaming from them: behind angelic faces, their teasing ways conceal their nascent sensibility. Perversely these gifted kids torture their favourite soft toys and teddies in secret hiding places, and spend days locked in their rooms wired up to distorted guitars resulting in the obvious unstoppable melodies of their quirky songs. Intoxicated by the singular voice of their singer, we rave from peace to disquiet. The insouicant melodic freshness is suffused with the strength and sudden speed of an almighty electrical storm.
Imagine the Beach Boys playing tennis with Sonic Youth and Serge Gainsbourg as referee.
