The Magical Machines video is finished! Check it out here on our profile, just over to the left!
Swedish For Beginners are a Swedish pop orchestra, playing guitar-based indie pop with a lot of electronica and vocal harmonies, described at one point as the affinity between The Smiths and The Beach Boys.
Swedish For Beginners started out in 2006 as a one-man project of vocalist and songwriter Johan Signert, but soon evolved to a live band. During 2007 Swedish For Beginners attracted the attention of producer Ollie Olson, who previously has worked with Sugarplum Fairy, Robyn, I'm From Barcelona, Teddybears STHLM and many more.
Together with Ollie, the band have recorded an EP, which is about to be released. Sign up for the SFB newsletter above to get the latest news on the release. Two tracks from the EP - Magical Machines and This City Is Not For Me - have now been released here on Myspace! The other tracks found here are demos recorded by vocalist and songwriter Johan Signert.
Swedish For Beginners have so far received two "Track of the week"-awards and a total of four "Track of the day"-awards on Garageband.com. Klick on the badges to read the reviews.
The Magical Machines cd-single is now officially SOLD OUT! Wait for the EP that will be released shortly. Send a message if you want to pre-order a copy.
